A pioneer in using the Solera method for rum, Santa Teresa 1796 brings together in every 700ml bottle at 40% ABV Caribbean distillates aged between four and thirty-five years in ex-bourbon oak barrels. That maturation range defines a single-estate rum of the Antilles of simultaneously deep and smooth character: reddish amber in the glass, with an aroma of roasted almonds and honey, and a palate of dark chocolate, vanilla and tobacco culminating in a surprisingly dry finish.

It is widely considered one of the world's best sipping rums. Serve it in a wide glass at room temperature or with one large cube of ice that opens it gradually without erasing it.
