Description
Protos Roble represents the youth and strength of Tinta del Pais in the prestigious Ribera del Duero, aged for six months in American and French oak barrels. At 14.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle, it rests for another six months in the bottle to round its black fruit and vanilla. Made in Spain.
Its powerful fruitiness makes it a daily red of great energy. It combines very well with grilled meats, legume stews and semi-cured cheeses.
Tasting Notes
- Appearance: Bright cherry red with marked purple highlights.
- Aroma: Intense aromaticity of blackberry, plums, sweet vanilla and toasted wood.
- Palate: Medium-bodied, highly expressive and tasty, with persistent fruity finish.
- Serve: At about 15-16 °C with grilled meats, legumes or semi-cured cheeses.
