From a rigorous selection of grapes in Cenicero, the traditional Bodegas Riojanas craft their classic red wine Puerta Vieja. At 13.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle, this Tempranillo stands out for harmonising fresh red fruit with a measured, elegant oak contribution. Made in Spain.
Its gentle tannins place it as a highly versatile daily red. It successfully accompanies simple pasta dishes, white meat recipes and casual everyday meals.
Tasting Notes
- Appearance: Bright cherry red with a lively violet rim.
- Aroma: Fresh raspberries, wild cherries, floral notes and black licorice.
- Palate: Medium-bodied, soft in passage and highly easy-drinking.
