Bodegas Protos crafts Protos Crianza 2020 in Peñafiel, one of the most historic wineries in Ribera del Duero. Made from 100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo), this red undergoes twelve months of ageing in American and French oak casks, followed by another year of bottle refinement. At 14.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle, it offers a great structure balancing black fruit and toasted hints. Produced in Spain.

It is well suited for pairing with red meats and structured stews. Its persistent finish with cocoa hints makes it an excellent wine to enjoy at formal meals.

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Deep cherry red with a subtle garnet rim.
• Aroma: Complex and highly intense, with ripe black fruits, sweet spices and balsamic notes.
• Palate: Structured and powerful, with firm tannins and a long toasted cocoa finish.
• Serve: Serve at 16-18 °C after decanting.
